Next Step for Meditation

In this post we will go over a few things needed for meditating and also include a very simple meditation you can start with. Please feel free to message us at anytime if you have any questions or concerns and we will do our best to help you.


For some people they like to meditate outside. Meditating in nature is an experience all on its own. Just taking in the sounds of the birds, wind and feeling the warm sun on your face can take you places you would not believe.


Find a spot your feel comfortable either sitting or laying down. Set a timer on your phone for how long you would like to be in this meditation. I like to lay a blanket or towel down and sit with no shoes on and legs crossed. Now start with your eyes open and and focus on your breath. Just let your breath naturally follow in and out. Now take two really deep breathes pushing the air all the way down in the belly and slowly let them out. Close your eyes and breath normally bringing all your focus to each breath. The way the air smells and feels as it goes into each nostril. The difference in this as it comes back out. Your mind will wonder and that is ok, just each time you you notice it bring your focus back to your breath. You hear the sounds and things that are happening around you but your focus is on your breath. I would start with at least five minutes on the timer, but longer would be better. You can always work up to longer session.


With this simple meditation there are very few things needed. These would include a towel or blanket (if you want one) and a timer of some kind. Meditation is one of the easiest things to start on your spiritual path. You can keep a notebook close to write down what happened or was revealed during each session. Let the spirit guide your journey and you will never go wrong.
